Waxwonderful is an UK online store specialising in handmade unusual candles and other carefully selected gifts.
We believe that what makes us different is the quality of the unusual products we have to offer.
Having trawled through the web, we found some very nice candles out there but we didn’t find anything highly unusual and different. The response was to start Waxwonderful and offer candles with the wow factor and candles that throw out convention.
We dispatch our candles to UK customers via courier. We also deliver to international customers.
Tell me about your candles.
We have representatives who are passionate about beautiful and unusual candles. Our representatives spend lots of time looking through all sorts of local markets and speaking to local manufacturers about sourcing the most unusual candles. They apply strict criteria when making their selections insisting that the candles are handmade and highly unusual.
We have a range of room and floating candles which mimic various natural flowers and leaves. Our Teak Leaf Candles are particularly special. These are wax candles with an impression of a Teak leaf wrapped around a solid wax base. As the impression is made using a real Teak leaf, all the beautiful detail of the leaf veins and folds are transposed onto the candle. Our Teak Leaf Balls and and Lotus Leaf Cube Candles are made in the same way so you get all the detail of the leaves wrapped around these beautiful candles.
Our Floating Candles are just lovely. Each Floating Candle is carefully created to mimic some of the most beautiful flowers nature has to offer and some have the most divine of scents. Our favourite one is the Teak Leaf Floating Candle. The most delicate of wax leaves is pressed so it sits comfortably on water whilst projecting the most beautiful soft light.
We also have a range of attractive Decorated Candles. These are the classic tapered candle but with a new twist. Tied around the base of the candle are two handmade and delicate rose flowers in the most beautiful and vibrant colours.
Which candles are our customers’ favourites?
Our customers have purchased all sorts of candles from our online store. Our most popular candles are the Teak Leaf Candles, Banana Leaf Candles and Teak Leaf Cube Candles. Our Mini Candle Strips are also becoming more and more popular.
We think that our Lotus Leaf Cube candles will be very popular in the coming summer months as they make ideal candles for your garden, patio or porch. Just imagine sitting outside with your loved one or friends on a warm summer’s evening, glass of wine in one hand and the flicker of an attractive candle nearby.

The floating leaf candles i bought were beautifully made and did infact look unusual, you wouldnt think they were candles at first glance.
I was happy with the service and the speed of delivery!

Really happy with all aspects of the service I received from Wax wonderful. My items arrived within 24 hours and were carefully boxed and packaged.
I bought a Teak Leaf Cube, and friends can’t believe it is a candle! Would recommed to anyone.

I have bought floating leaf candles and a strip of small candles and am very happy with the quality of both! They add real atmosphere. They arrived within 24 hours in an excellent gift box… well presented and carefully packaged which I wasn’t expecting. A definite recommendation to all!

It was a tough choice. I could easily have spent an absolute fortune on gorgeous home decor candles and unusual fairy lights! In the end I exercised restraint (for now) and chose an Astral Swirl candle because of the lovely curly pattern and the strong, bold contrast between black and white. The leaf candles are superb too, with their delicate tracery of real leaf patterns and subtle colours. I loved the unusual shapes; cubes, spheres and tall, elegant tapering versions. We’ve just had a new kitchen extension built and we’re looking forward to redecorating it and adding all those special finishing touches. My choice of candles was inspired by the colours our new kitchen will eventually be. The thing is, I liked them so much when they arrived that I sent them straight to my Mum as a Mother’s Day gift. We share a sense of bold colour and she was absolutely delighted with them. Now I’ll have to go back to WaxWonderful and buy myself some more! The service was extremely good too – WaxWonderful are really friendly and the candles arrive beautifully packed, quickly and safely. What a find!
