Who is John Tate? Why Tate Security?
My name is Pru Williams and I am PA to John Tate. I wanted to create this page on the website because I feel so strongly that there are things that need to be known about Tate Security. Things that present and future clients should know, things that present and future employees should know.
First of all ‘Who is John Tate?’ He was born in East London in 1963 and has a Welsh family. His farther Frank Tate was a lieutenant in the Royal Navy. This meant that due to being moved around the country for the Navy his family only ever lived in one area for two years at the most. Naturally having to leave all of his friends and being the new boy so many times caused John to hate school.
He had a wonderful childhood, though poor. For holidays his farther would hire a Transit Van and head for North Wales, they would park in a farmers field at night for £2 and then tour the beautiful Welsh countryside during the day.
He was a teenager when his farther died. Unfortunately the house they lived in was a property tied to his father’s work. John, his Mother and his Sister buried his farther on the Friday and had to leave the house on the Monday with nowhere to go. So it has not always been easy for him and he learned to respect people and money alike.
When he left school he ‘escaped’ to the military. Here he was at home, this was the life he loved and he soon gained rank and managed to get involved in some very interesting adventures….which he rarely shares!!
He is very professional, dare I say irritatingly so sometimes as far as his primary staff are concerned. If it needs doing then he does it and it is done to the best of everyone’s ability. When he left the military he worked in many different Private Security areas and for many companies, gaining years of experience but not happily…
He was not satisfied with the people or the operation of the companies. He wanted to be the best and is very determined in that area. Over and over again he was advised to create his own Private Security Company, each time men offered their loyalty to come and work for him if he did. He tells me that one day he had just had enough and realised that it’s all very well complaining about something but sooner or later you have to do something about it…..
For John Tate security is a personal issue. While working for other companies he watched officers going to work because it paid and they cared little about anything else because there wasn’t anything else to care about. In this industry that kind of attitude becomes dangerous. Where was the excitement? Where was the satisfaction? Where was the pride?
Tate Security was born.
So if you are a client or potential client be assured, be very assured that John and everyone in this company will go all the way to get the job done with a very high calibre of professionalism.
