Review Of Rocket House Café, Cromer : Great Food With A Sea View
If you’re looking for lunch in Cromer I can think of nowhere better to eat than the rocket House Café.
The Rocket House Café is perched above the RNLI’s Henry Blogg lifeboat museum and offers great views of the beach and pier from the modern building which has a pleasant seaside air to it.
We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and the café was full of other diners many of whom were families.
Being in Cromer the wife decided to go for a Cromer crab and avocado wrap which was packed with delicious juicy crab with a kick of hot Tabasco. I chose the lobster, shrimp and caper pie which was topped with slices of melting potato. As well as the crustaceans the pie contained some big flakes of delicious fish in a creamy sauce.
To drink I enjoyed a bottle of Woodforde’s Wherry Bitter a crisp and zesty ale from a local Norfolk brewer.
The café has an excellent and very reasonable children’s menu with sandwiches and pasta dishes at £2.25. Our 3 year daughter was delighted with her cheese sandwich.
All in all we had an excellent great value meal in a marvellous sea front location. If you are looking for a family lunch in Cromer we’d heartily recommend the Rocket House Café.
