We started out as Waggs in 2007 but changed to Uncle Eric’s Pet Care Service in 2009.
Our pet care service was conceived due to our love for animals and having to put a stop to getting any more pets of our own, otherwise we would be living in a zoo.
Our pets include a 7 year old very loveable, hairy golden retreiver called Basil.
Tiger the very lazy cat.
Flopsie the rabbit, and Wrinkle the Hermann Tortoise.
And two Giant African Land Snails
Biggest animals of all are the kids, who are animal mad.
We are based in Delves Lane, near Consett, Co Durham.
All animals that come into our home will be loved and cared for in our friendly family.

We know from first hand experience, that dogs love nothing better than having fun outside, especially on walks in the countryside. Uncle Eric’s exercise dogs on cycle tracks, woods and riversides at every opportunity.
Our walking is based mainly on a 1-1 basis, on occasions we may walk 2 dogs together, but only those that live close to each other and who are both friendly to each other. We prefer the idea of being able to tailor a walk based on the dogs needs, not the walker.
We pride ourselves on the first class pet care here at our home, for those who choose for their pets to stay with us while they are away at work or on a holiday break.
For those pets who would prefer to stay in the familiar surroundings of their own home, we offer a superb pet visiting service.

We have used Uncle Eric’s Pet Care services many times, and have always been delighted with the kindness and care shown when looking after our elderly cats. I know several people who use Uncle Eric’s for dog walking and all speak extremely highly of them too.
