My name is Phillip Jones and I am a well known entertainer/magician in Pembrokeshire and like everyone I was appalled to see the recent riots in large British cities on the television.
Many politicians and news reporters have blamed the riots on “gang culture” and poor parental influences.
I use magic, storytelling and comedy to deliver important educational messages to school children
I have programmes that cover themes such as “the magic of reading”,“ preserve the planet “, “the magic inside us” and many others.
However, given the terrible riots in the large cities recently I have moved forward a topic I have been working on for some time now called :-
“THE FANTASTIC FRIENDS SHOW”
This 40 minute presentation benefits students by highlighting the following.
- How the friends we pick influence us and our future
- Avoiding gangs
- What to do if approached to join gang or asked by a friend to do something bad
- The qualities that make a fantastic friend
- Not judging people by the way they look or by first impressions
Although this is obviously a serious subject,the presentation is fun and exiting to watch and features magic,humour, motivational storytelling and much more to create a thoroughly absorbing presentation which never loses sight of the integral educational message.
